Presenting Cush Jumbo Reading Christmas Tales In support of The Clock Tower Sanctuary
As you can imagine, we are absolutely delighted to welcome the awesome Cush Jumbo (OBE) to Chapter 34 for a very special festive reading on the evening of Wednesday 17th December. We will start with the children, followed by the grown- ups (click here for children’s event tickets)
At a time of year when home and warmth mean so much, we’ll also be raising money to support young people facing homelessness. 90% of all ticket sales will go to The Clock Tower Sanctuary, supporting young homeless people in Brighton and the surrounding area.
Grown-Ups’ Christmas Reading
Join us amongst the books for an atmospheric evening with Cush Jumbo who will be reading a collection of short festive stories that capture the feeling of winter nights.
The bar will be open, there’ll be time for a drink or two, and together we’ll be raising funds for The Clock Tower Sanctuary, supporting young homeless people in Brighton and beyond.
Although tickets are £20, we’ll also be accepting optional donations on the night if you’d like to contribute further — but there’s absolutely no pressure to do so.

About Cush Jumbo (OBE)
Cush is one of the UK’s most celebrated actors, currently starring in Balestra on Amazon Prime and leading Apple TV’s Criminal Record (Season 2 just wrapped, with Cush also serving as Executive Producer on both series).
On stage, she recently played Lady Macbeth opposite David Tennant in the West End and earned an Olivier Award nomination for Hamlet at The Young Vic.
Cush is also known for her acclaimed roles in The Good Fight, The Good Wife, The Beast Must Die, and Stay Close for Netflix.
She is the author of Josephine and I and has been awarded an OBE for her contribution to Drama.
