Branch Out – The Tree Festival Symposium
We need trees & trees need us! This exciting event brings together nature lovers, professionals and community members to explore the world of trees and how we can plant, protect and care for them.
- 9:30am: Coffee and sign in
- 10.00am: Expert talks and discussion
- 2.00pm: Roundtable buzz sessions, refreshments and networking.
- 4:30pm: Chapter 34 – Shoreham’s independent bookshop – book signings.
- 5:30pm: Close
Celebrate our wonderful Sussex trees with Susan Raikes, Director of Wakehurst and an exciting panel of experts including:
- Tony Whitbread, Sussex Wildlife Trust’s past president and woodland specialist;
- Paul Wood, explorer of nature in towns and cities, author of Tree Hunting;
- Juliet Sargeant, broadcaster, award-winning garden designer, author of Start with Soil;
- Olivia Sprinkel, world traveller, author of Hear the Trees Speak;
- Isabel Losada, author of The Joyful Environmentalist.
All books will be available for purchase on the day, or from Chapter 34 prior to the event.
