Welcome to Chapter Chasers, our children’s book club where we celebrate brilliant books with rave reviews and shiny collectible cards!
We love hearing our customers’ reviews of the books they’ve read and we really love having our littler customers rush in to tell us what they thought of their latest read, so we’re making a club!
Each month Carmen and Emily will choose our children’s books of the month; the best new paperback children’s books across the age ranges. Choose which one(s!) you would like to read, whether it’s buying from us, borrowing from the library or a friend, or listening to it on audio, and then pop into the bookshop with your review. It might be a written review, your own comic strip or picture inspired by the book or maybe a poem. Get creative, have fun!
Every review earns a free collectible card!
Just bring your review to Carmen, Kelly or Emily at the shop and we’ll give you your free collectible card like the ones pictured above. Sometimes we’ll also have fun extras to give out like bookmarks and stickers! Don’t fancy the books we’ve chosen this month? No problem. Create a review of your latest fave read and we’ll give you a wildcard for you to design yourself.
HOW DO WE JOIN IN?
Chapter Chasers will be starting at the end of March. Look out for the posters in the children’s area in the shop and on our socials to find out which books we’re celebrating each month. Not just for kids, we want everyone to get involved. Teachers, parents, kid wranglers, aspiring children’s writers and all adults who love reading kids books, like we do, are very welcome to join in. 2026 is The National Year of Reading and we want to encourage our community to read more, celebrate the utter joy of books and to share more stories together. We can’t wait to see your reviews and hear all about your favourite adventures!
