Chapter 34 Presents Cush Jumbo: Childrens Christmas Reading

In support of The Clock Tower Sanctuary

As you can imagine, we are absolutely delighted to welcome the awesome Cush Jumbo (OBE) to Chapter 34 for a very special festive reading on the evening of Wednesday 17th December. We will start with the children, followed by the grown- ups (click here for Adult’s event tickets)

At a time of year when home and warmth mean so much, we’ll also be raising money to support young people facing homelessness. 90% of all ticket sales will go to The Clock Tower Sanctuary, supporting young homeless people in Brighton and the surrounding area.

Children’s Christmas Reading (ages 6+)
A relaxed, heartwarming storytime to get the little ones into the festive spirit while helping those in need. Cush will be reading a variety of Christmas stories to the children while they snuggle up on cushions with the books.

We’ll pause halfway through for a short break for refreshments, wriggling time and the loo!

• Please bring your own cushion and a drinking bottle — the children will be sitting on the floor and we want to avoid spillages.
• One adult per booking is free. We’ll gather in the café area and on the stairs while Cush reads to the children (obviously we want to listen as well!)
• Children over 6 only
• Babes in arms are welcome and free
• Please leave the doggies at home

About Cush Jumbo (OBE)
Cush is one of the UK’s most celebrated actors, currently starring in Balestra on Amazon Prime and leading Apple TV’s Criminal Record (Season 2 just wrapped, with Cush also serving as Executive Producer on both series).

On stage, she recently played Lady Macbeth opposite David Tennant in the West End and earned an Olivier Award nomination for Hamlet at The Young Vic.

Cush is also known for her acclaimed roles in The Good Fight, The Good Wife, The Beast Must Die, and Stay Close for Netflix.

She is the author of Josephine and I and has been awarded an OBE for her contribution to Drama.
