We are thrilled to welcome one of the UK’s leading cheese experts and critically acclaimed author, Ned Palmer to Palate for a very special evening of Cheese and Wine Pairing.

Alongside his books, A Cheesemonger’s History of the British Isles, and A Cheesemonger’s Compendium of British and Irish Cheese (are you sensing a theme?) he has also written A Cheesemonger’s Tour de France, where the lucky guy got to travel extensively across The Channel and ‘taste’ as much cheese as possible. Something like that anyway.

Luckily for us, Ned is also an old friend of Harriet’s so we thought it would be rude not to team up for evening of delicious cheese and wine. Our good friends and neighbours, Chapter 34 will also be joining us where Kelly will have copies of Ned’s newly released paperback edition of A Cheesemonger’s Tour de France as well as his British Isles book available for purchase on the evening. A great chance to stock up on some early Christmas gifting perhaps? Who wouldn’t want a copy of a SIGNED book about Cheese and a bottle of wine for the festive season?!

Info About the Author

Ned’s cheese career began at Borough Market in December 2000. He joined Neal’s Yard Dairy in 2002 working on retail, wholesale and as an affineur, and travelling around the UK visiting cheesemakers. In 2014 Ned made a career shift to hosting cheese tastings, through his company The Cheese Tasting Co. When he is not talking or writing about cheese he still travels around the UK and Europe visiting farms and cheesemakers.
